The History of Brother

Here’s something you might not know: Brother started as a tailoring business? Yes, you heard right. Brother had based its debut in 1908 as Yasui Sewing Machine Co., Kanekichi by Yasui, Nagoya, Japan. A few years later the company was renamed Yasui Brothers Sewing Machine Co. sold sewing machines and the company has been Nippon Sewing Machine Manufacturing Co in 1934.
In 1954, Brother International Corporation, as it is now called, began exporting sewing machines overseas with great success. This success continued for several years with many advances in home appliances and machine knitting. However, the brother of today really came on the scene in 1971 when she created the first high speed matrix printer. Electronic typewriters were in 1985 and following the development began to move more product-oriented companies and devices.
